| Mr. Laster focuses primarily in the area of real estate law. He is a former Senior Assistant City Attorney for the City of Houston, 1989-1995, where he practiced exclusively in the real estate section. He has extensive experience negotiating contractual agreements with private corporations, county, and city governments as well as advising City Council on technical and legal aspects of abandonment of rights-of-way, sale of property, street closings, plat dedication, environmental issues, parks, and city planning issues. He has served as an Executive Committeeman for the Texas Democratic Party from 1994-1998. He was a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1996. Mr. Laster is a frequent speaker to real estate related groups; is an active participant in his church, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Sharpstown Civic Association.
